As more excerpts from Caitlyn Jenner's Vanity Fair interview are made public, we're beginning to understand just how difficult the former Olympian's transition truly was.
While Caitlyn says her children and mother were mostly supportive, her latest comments make it clear that not all of her family members made it quite so easy.
From the start, there were rumors of Kris Jenner "blaming herself" and generally demonstrating a total lack of understanding of her ex's struggles.
Now, it's being rumored that Kris is "jealous" of Caitlyn and believes that she's attempting to threaten to Kardashian's dominance in the world of reality television.
In her VF interview, Caitlyn reveals (perhaps unintentionally) that her gender identity had been the cause of tension with Kris for quite some time and that reality TV's most famous momager may have been lying about her husband's secret life for decades.
“When I met Bruce, he told me that he had done hormones back in the early 80s. So, what he was telling me happened a decade earlier, and he never really explained it. There wasn’t a gender issue.
"Somebody mentioned that [he] at one point in his life liked too dress up.”
Caitlyn tells a different story, maintaining that her hormone therapy continued right up until she started dating Kris, and that she had noticeable female breasts throughout their marriage.
Caitlyn says she had B cup breasts when she first met her third wife. Kris denies this, saying, "He had a little bit of a man-boob situation...No B cup going on."
Caitlyn also revealed that the couple had strict rules about when and where she would be allowed to wear women's clothes. Kris insists she had no knowledge of any cross-dressing during their marriage.
Earlier today, Kourtney Kardashian was caught lying about Caitlyn's transition, and given how carefully the Kardashians maintain their public image, we can expect more half-truths and discrepancies to surface as the public interest in Caitlyn's life and transition continues.
No doubt the situation has presented some difficulties and we're not here to judge the family on how they choose to cope with (and cash in) on it. We just hope Caitlyn will continue to call Kris and company on their BS.
