Earlier today, we reported that Iggy Azalea has been whining about
the realization that she's a one-hit wonder destined for the "Where are they now?" file the disappointing performance of her latest single.
The song was a collaboration with Britney Spears titled "Pretty Girls," and it seems Iggy was expecting another "Fancy"-esque Song of the Summer.
Needless to say, that didn't happen, and because Iggy's attempt to quit Twitter lasted for about a week, she's taken to social media to gripe about the song's dismal performance.
“It’s difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and TV performances,” the rapper wrote on Twitter. “I would have enjoyed performing it a lot, I think it got off to a powerful start. But you need content to compete in 2015.”
She went on to avoid any personal responsibility for the song's failure by noting, "I was just featured."
When some of her followers pointed out that she seemed to be throwing shade and blaming Britney for the song's failure, Iggy got pissed:
"My comment is factual, it applies to any song. I dont have to suck the womans a--hole 24/7 to be her friend, do i? bye girls."
Yeesh. We haven't seen a rapper behave in such an overly-sensitive fashion since Drake's mom forgot his tuna fish sandwich.
Thus far, Britney hasn't fired back, but this isn't the first indication of tension between these two.
Back in March Britney posted a photo of Iggy in which the Aussie emcee was replaced by a white trash bag. ("White trash," get it?)
We think it's safe to assume the ladies didn't get along during their collaboration. Here's hoping their feud heats up so that something entertaining can come from the recording of that crap-tastic song.
