Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz aren't exactly tabloid regulars, so when news of the intensely private couple pops up on the cover of a checkout-line rag, there's reason to believe it's legit.
Craig and Weisz married back in 2011, and many doubted the marriage would last from day one.
After all, Craig has a long history of cheating, and he and Weisz were both in serious relationships when they first started hooking up. (He was living with longtime girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell. She had been dating director Darren Aronofsky for nine years.)
Now, Star magazine is reporting that karma is finally taking its toll (for Weisz, at least), as Craig has been caught sleeping around, and the couple is now living entirely separate lives.
“They’re virtual strangers these days,” a source tells Star. “It’s like they don’t see the point anymore.”
The insider claims that part of the problem is that Craig is currently shooting the new James Bond film Spectre, and he's apparently hit it off with one of his female co-stars in a big way.
“He clearly gets carried away with women he works with, and he’s taken a shine to one in particular,” says the source. "He's lavishing attention on her."
Banging co-stars is a proud 007 tradition that dates back to the Connery days, but as this new flick has multiple Bond girls (Monica Bellucci, Stephanie Sigman and Naomie Harris), there's no telling who might havec aught Daniel's eye.
For her part, Rachel is currently shooting a movie with Colin Firth, and while there have been no rumors of on-set hanky-panky, we've seen enough romantic comedies to know that Firth is exactly the man to comfort you when your husband is off shagging every skirt at MI6.
