Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 10 Episode 10: About Bruce ...

by at .

Sunday night's Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 10 Episode 10 marked the first part of the E! series' special on Bruce Jenner's transition.

Needless to say, it was an emotional installment. We saw Bruce bravely tell the world on ABC News ... but how did his own family first react?

To many media members and fans, the run-up to Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 10 Episode 10 felt like a contrived, reactionary move.

After Bruce Jenner's interview with Diane Sawyer turned him into a hero, the Kris Jenner and the Kardashians scrambled to act like they cared.

Or so it appeared, given the PR onslaught and the fact that no one likes Kris Jenner. But was the perception of reality actually reality in this case?

"Today my family loves, supports, and accepts me as I am ... and I'm so grateful."

The emotional night began with Bruce making that very statement, but that doesn't mean it came easily for his daughters and stepdaughters.

One Kardashian family member in particular got pretty heated, in fact.

"Coming in and doing this interview I do have high anxiety," Khloe said. "I don't know if I'm saying the right thing, if I'm using the right terminology."

"I'm fine with him dressing as a woman. I want Bruce to be happy."

We're sure she does, but Khloe was by far the most taken aback.

The long-rumored Bruce Jenner sex change came as a jolt to everyone, but she more than anyone seemed personally hurt by how it played out.

In particular, she was upset that the process was imminent.

"Are you planning on not being Bruce anytime soon? Khloe asked, pointedly.

"You have children, you don't have to answer to us, but you need to tell us!"

"I don't care that you want to ... I have always supported you, but I don't think it's fair that you won't tell us how close this is in the near future."

The Olympic great also hit a nerve with Khloe he said the opinions he cared about most in the world were those of Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

Kim was also frustrated when she asked Bruce if he was officially transitioning, only to have him pause for a few moments before answering.

"See, hesitating four seconds makes us feel like you're lying when you already know the answer. You've probably already made the appointment."

"Well, yeah," Bruce responded, noting that he had several surgeries set up to alter his face scheduled ... and the now-famous Diane Sawyer interview.

Kim Kardashian was the first to know about Bruce's gender struggles, but she felt out of the loop here, something that also frustrated Kylie and Kendall.

As for the Momager to the Stars herself, his ex-wife Kris Jenner? They are already divorced, yes, but suffice it to say she did not take this well.

"I committed to this life, and I feel like he just checked out," she said through tears, and even though this is Kris, it was hard not to feel for her there.

"I'm open to people and their differences. That's what I bring to the table in a relationship, but the other thing I expect out of a relationship is honesty."

Khloe certainly agrees, feeling like Bruce shut her out for a year.

As he quietly had procedures done and made other plans to foster his transition, this was essentially lying through omission in her eyes.

"I'm not lying, Khloe!" Bruce shot back when she accused him of that very thing. "I just didn't tell you. It's not an easy subject to talk to you about."

"The greatest thing in my life I've done is raise children. It's my greatest accomplishment. I got everybody out of the nest, everybody's doing great."

"The last thing I want to do is hurt anyone. Maybe if I'm not honest, it's because I'm afraid to talk to you about this subject because I know it hurts."

"I understand that. Am I doing it right, Khloe? You can never do this right. There is no right way to do this ... I've got to deal with myself."

Hard as it is, we'd say he did pretty well ... don't you?
