Kate Middleton is in labor! At long last, the process has begun!
The British royal family will expand by one member today (or perhaps early tomorrow if this turns into a Jill Duggar-esque marathon).
According to the official Kensington Palace Twitter today:
- HRH The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 06.00 hrs to St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London and is in the early stages of labour.
- The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.
And there you have it. Unlike the relentless speculation that surrounds some celebrity births, the palace simply tells us all we need to know.
The 33-year-old will welcome her second child in the same venue where young Prince George made his grand entrance back on July 22, 2013.
Prince William and his brother Prince Harry were also born there.
William is by Kate's side, having finished the latest phase of his East Anglian Air Ambulance pilot training early, and embarking on paternity leave.
Going into the process, the Duke and Duchess remain in the dark as to whether Kate Middleton is expecting a girl ... or another little boy.
The majority of Kate Middleton baby name and gender bets (yes, there is a market for such things) are saying girl, with Alice the top pick.
Will they be proven correct, or did they just waste their money?
Time will tell ... and not a lot more time! Look for the young one to show up at any moment, and check back with THG for updates today!
