Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar say 19 Kids and Counting is not just a reality show, but a ministry of sorts for the couple's faith and family values.
The Duggars' hit TLC show, which began in 2008, has chronicled countless milestones, and is currently in the midst of its biggest season yet.
As the family's celebrity grows, so do the Duggar family scandals. But they never waver in their faith, and their commitment to one another.
Patriarch Jim Bob says back then, when it was still called 17 Kids and Counting, he agreed to do the show on one very important condition.
"When we were asked to do the show 11 years ago, we said we'd do it as long as they didn't edit out our faith," Jim Bob said in an interview.
"They've given us the ability to use the show to include a lot of Bible principles that we live by, and really, that's the foundation for our lives."
"We want to encourage people that Bible principles work, and as a family turns their hearts towards God, they can set their family on a firm foundation."
Michelle Duggar added, "We really believe it is a family ministry to encourage others to love their family, love their children, and enjoy this time."
"Because before you know it, you'll blink, and they'll be grown."
Jim Bob and Michelle also opened up about their growing brood of grandchildren, emphasizing that it is "ten times better" than they could've imagined.
With Jessa Duggar pregnant (her first), Josh Duggar's wife Anna pregnant (her fourth) and Jill just having her first, 2015 is one heck of a year.
"I've heard people say how wonderful it is to have those grandchildren," Michelle, who's only 48, said. "It is 10 times better than what they said."
"It is such a joy! I am just so thankful to have of all these grandbabies coming along, doubling the number of grandchildren this year."
"We've gone from three grandchildren to six."
If you watch 19 Kids and Counting online, you can see Israel David Dillard, the first-born son of Jill and Derick Dillard, arrive into the world.
The Arkansas couple's first three grandchildren are Mackynzie, Michael, and Marcus, the children of eldest Duggar son Josh and his wife Anna.
Michelle also addressed the online speculation that Jessa and Ben are expecting twins, admitting that she is responsible for spreading the rumor!
She explained that she was so thrilled when Jessa made the announcement that she told her daughter, "Who knows Jess, you may have twins!"
"In our family, twins kind of run in the maternal line, and surely somewhere along the way one of the girls will possibly have twins," Michelle said.
Will it be Jessa and Ben? Stay tuned!
