Eric Johnson to Jessica Simpson: Go to Rehab Or I'm Taking the Kids!

by at .

In the past, Jessica Simpson's drinking has made for some funny viral videos and some troubling binge reports. (Jess says she was hungover at her own wedding. Yeesh.)

Last we heard from the mother of two, Jessica was abusing Adderall in addition to boozing heavily, and sources claimed that she stormed out of a recent family intervention.

Reportedly, Jessica threatened to "cut off" anyone who mentioned her boozing again, and as the family cash cow, she certainly has the ability to ruin some lives.

Her approach apparently worked for a while, as her family backed off for fear of having to get go jobs or go suck up to Ashlee.

Now, however, Jessica's husband and father of her kids has reportedly insisted that she get treatment, and he's made her an offer she almost literally can't refuse.

“Things reached a climax in early May, when Eric told Jess he’s had enough and issued his ultimatum,” a source tells Radar Online.

When Jess stated she refused to go to rehab, Eric reportedly told her, "I'm out of here - and I'm taking the kids with me."

“He’s worried sick that Jess’ conduct is going to start affecting their two children," says the insider. "Their oldest is starting to realize there’s ‘something wrong with Mommy!'”

Well, Jess, after hearing all that, we won't be able to see the humor in it the next time your drunk night out gets caught on tape, so you might as well just check into the the 'hab. Off you go.

Jessica Simpson Quotes

They're just the cutest couple in the world. They are adorable. Anybody would wish to be them and you can only wish them well. Just being around them inspires love and everything I sing about.

It’s fun to do a small film that might be released to DVD not because it’s a horrible film, but because it’s an independent film. For people to say Employee of the Month was a flop is ludicrous. We made the money back–that’s not a flop. For people to say The Dukes of Hazzard was a flop–it opened to $30 million! If these movies are flops, why would I still make them?
