In the three years since Yolanda Foster was diagnosed with Lyme disease, the reality star has been admirably candid about her struggles with an illness that slowly strips its victims of their ability to carry out the activities of daily life.
Foster has suffered brain damage which has forced to limit her participation in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and sources have claimed that the 51-year-old former model will have no involvement in future seasons of the hit Bravo series.
Foster has been praised for her efforts to raise money for research and her willingness to share updates on her condition through her emotional Instagram diary.
Yolanda's social media pages often feature tributes to the friends and family who have helped through this difficult time, and her most recent upload may be her most touching yet:
That's Foster's 15-year-old son, Anwar Hadid, carrying her out of her home. She captioned the photo, "Thank you for sharing your compassioned heart and carrying me through these darkest days of my life."
Foster recently launched the Take a Bite out of Lyme campaign, through which she encourages her social media followers to make a donation and then post a photo of themselves biting into a lime to help spread the word to others.
Forster's Real Housewives co-stars and several of her famous friends have already participated.
