Jennifer Lopez spends most of her time these days judging various contestants on American Idol.
But it doesn't sound as if the singer needs to see the next wave of Presidential candidates take the stage in order to decide who will have her vote.
"I'm very excited by the news,” Lopez told E! News at the MTV Movie Awards last night of Clinton’s decision to run for high office in 2016.
So, does this mean Clinton has Lopez's support?
"I think it's time for a woman [President],” Lopez replied with a smile.
In 2012, Lopez was among a bevy of female Hollywood celebrities who appeared in a video supporting President Obama's re-election, which took place four years after he defeated Clinton in the Democratic Primary.
"Women will help decide this election," Lopez said in the video. "I grew up with a strong, hardworking mom and dad, and two brilliant sisters. I learned that from an early age that when women come together, there is nothing we can't do."
Clinton announced her Presidential run yesterday in a YouTube video, prompting responses from many famous supporters.
