Alyssa Milano is doing her best to strike another blow for parenthood.
The actress, who has shared multiple breastfeeding photos online in support of this mothering act, Tweeted up a storm today in response to a negative experience she had at Heathrow Airport.
"@HeathrowAirport just took my pumped breast milk away. 10 ounces. Gone. Not okay," Milano wrote, going on to explain what happened and why she takes issue with it:
"They said they would let the pumped milk through if I had the baby with me. Why would I need to pump if I had the baby with me????"
The lady makes a fair point.
Milano, who gave birth to a daughter named Elizabella Dylan seven months ago, continued:
"I would have happily spread milk in different containers (which I travel with) to comply to those liquid rules. Instead, milk was taken away with no discussion. Shampoos, lotions, etcetera were simply tested and handed back with no issue. Makes no sense at all."
Milano went on to say that the airport should have tested her milk, as they did her toiletries, to make sure that they were safe enough to go with her on the transatlantic flight.
"Why can you test my toiletries to make sure they are safe but you have to throw away my breast milk?" she asked.
Late last year, Milano responded to the Kim Kardashian nude pictorial in Paper Magazine by wondering why folks are offended by her breastfeeding photos... but not Kim's actual breasts!
"I just think it's important for women to feel comfortable feeding their babies wherever," she told E! News in December. "If we're in public, we shouldn't have to go in the bathroom."
