Zayn Malik Solo Single: Already Recorded and Released?

by at .  Updated at .

Just days after the Announcement That Shook the World, both One Direction and Zayn Malik appear to be moving on... musically speaking.

Yesterday, Niall Horan gave fans a reason to feel better after Malik's departure, Tweeting that he and his attractive colleagues were working on a new One Direction album.

Now, following a heated Twitter exchange between Louis Tomlinson and producer Naughty Boy, the latter has seemingly released Malik’s very first single as a solo artist.

Yes, already.

[UPDATE: The song has been taken off the Internet. Here is why.]

After taking umbrage with Tomlinson for calling him “inconsiderate” online, Naughty Boy shared an alleged demo featuring Malik without his former bandmates.

The track is titled "I Won't Mind" and Naughty Boy posted it on the Internet along with the following message:

"Let the music do the talking guys. Thank us later."

The title of the single is especially ironic, of course, because many One Direction fans WILL mind that Malik has already embarked on a solo career.

When he quit One Direction, the artist said he wanted to experience life as a "normal 22-year old" away from the spotlight.

Was he lying? Did he simply wish to branch out on his own like Justin Timberlake? Why not just admit that if so?

Let the controversy begin and let your ear drums listen to what appears to be Malik's debut single above. What do you think?
