Karina Smirnoff and Jason Adelman have ended their engagement, according to reports. It's now the third engagement the 37-year-old has called off.
The Dancing With the Stars pro, and author of We're Just Not That Into You: Dating Disasters from the Trenches, is now headed back to them.
Smirnoff got engaged decided to tie the knot with Adelman after less than a year of dating. Like her prior two attempts at getting engaged, it didn't take.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy proposed in 2008 before splitting in 2009; following that, she was engaged to MLB pitcher Brad Penny for a year in 2011.
In her book, Smirnoff and her friends wax on about several dates and relationships gone bad, albeit without revealing the identities of the men in question.
That said, it seemed obvious that the A-list star that took Smirnoff to a very public restaurant while talking her ear off was probably Owen Wilson.
Moreover, the "super hot" and "sexual" Dancing With the Stars celebrity she got hot and heavy with was no doubt notorious player Mario Lopez.
"It's not about calling anyone out," Smirnoff told People of her book.
"It's literally looking at dates from a positive perspective. You need to be able to laugh at yourself, and then you will enjoy the dating process that much more."
Karina is out of DWTS this season, which premieres Monday.
"I've decided to focus my energies on some other exciting endeavors," she said, meaning she's got a lot of time on her hands between that and this split.
We wish Karina and Jason the best.
