Yesterday, the Internet worried and wondered as Uma Thurman's new face went instantly viral.
The attention brought to mind the mind Renee Zellwger's new look from back in October that also sparked rumors of plastic surgery gone wrong.
Uma's transformation may have been somewhat less extreme, but millions are still wondering why such a naturally gorgeous woman would go under the knife, or the very least, overdo it with the botox and fillers to such an unflattering degree.
Thurman has remained silent on the subject, but her makeup artist spoke to People magazine to "clear things up."
Tony Surratt says Uma has definitely not had any work done, she's just blowing our minds with crazy makeup techniques that you guys have just, like, totally never heard of:
"Frankly, I'm quite surprised by the conversation," says Surratt. "By now, I would have thought we were all open to and knowledgeable of the role that makeup plays in fashion and in particular celebrity."
"It's only makeup, at the end of the day it washes off. I wanted to give Uma a statement lip balanced by a more feathered brow. Uma and I discussed a more editorial look with soft natural lashed."
As if that wasn't pretentious enough, Surratt goes on to describe Thruman's appearance as an "effortless Parisienne chic," and claims that all the confusion is the result of the fact that she wore no mascara at all.
So take note, ladies. If you want to look like you're the victim of some bad plastic surgery without all the trouble of going under the knife, give Tony Surratt a call!
