Yesterday, it was reported that Bobbi Kristina Brown was rescued by Max Lomas after nearly drowning to death in her bathtub on January 30.
The news was significant for obvious reasons, as reports say drugs were found in Bobbi Kristina's home, and Lomas is an alleged drug dealer.
One recently accused of sedating his girlfriend against her will, no less.
Today, Lomas issued a statement through his lawyer denying any involvement in the incident that resulted in Brown being placed in a medically-induced coma.
TMZ is reporting that Lomas' lawyer claims police are interested in his client as a witness, but not as a suspect in the incident that left Bobbi Kristina in peril.
The lawyer also notes that Lomas pleaded not guilty to charges of possession and intent to distribute, and was not formally charged with drugging his girlfriend.
Whitney Houston's daughter has been unconscious since she was found face down in her bathtub last week, although there have been some signs of life.
It was reported earlier today that Bobbi Kristina has opened her eyes, an improvement that is obviously good news for all those praying for her.
However, sources say that doctors have cautioned the Houston-Brown family about "reading too much into" that development at the same time.
Doctors remain doubtful that Brown will ever make a full recovery, though they have stated that there's a chance she will emerge from her coma.
Her family has issued several statements thanking fans for their prayers and support, which we continue to offer her as this sad saga unfolds.
