After a tumultuous few months, it looked like things were finally starting to turn around for Leah Messer.
Leah and Jeremy Calvert are back together after a very messy separation, and the Teen Mom star clearly couldn't be happier about.
Leah's been gushing about Jeremy online and sharing details about her new career as a stylist and salon owner. Fans have responded by expressing their relief that the troubled mother of three has finally found happiness.
Unfortunately, drama and strife seem to follow Leah wherever she goes, and now that her personal life is finally in order, it seems her professional life is spiraling out of control.
Radar Online is reporting that Leah is currently under investigation for a slew illegal business practices connected with the salon that she owns and operates.
"This business is very much illegal," a spokesperson for the West Virginia State Board of Bar said when asked about the Gloss salon that Leah recently launched with two friends.
Leah and her two beauty school classmates reportedly charge $60 for a makeup session and $300 for pageant preparations, but investigators say they're unlicensed, and their practice of working out of clients' homes rather than at an actual salon is also illegal.
"They have to have an actual shop. They need a place for clients to go," says the spokesperson, adding that Leah is simply "a cosmetology student with more than a year of school left to go."
It's unclear at this time what sort of punishment Leah might be facing, but in a worst case scenario the board could ban her from working as a cosmetologist or hair stylist for the rest of her life.
This girl just can't catch a break.
