Yesterday, we learned that Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald want to adopt lots of children - not just have lots of children, but adopt them - at some point.
Yes, after four months of marriage, Jessa and Ben seem to be in no rush when it comes to expanding their clan, which would be fine for most newlyweds.
The decision seems a bit strange in Jessa's case. Why?
After all, she was raised to believe that popping out kids is a woman's number one sacred duty. Her sister Jill Duggar got pregnant on her honeymoon.
Sources say Jessa and Ben had sex at their wedding, and the two are clearly passionate people, so we know they're not abstaining in that regard.
According to the unwritten Duggar Code, these two should be in a mad dash to have as many kids as they can, as soon as they can, so what gives?
A little bit of pharmaceutical devilry, that's what. At least according to one sleuth:
"Jessa and Ben are definitely active in the bedroom, so it's suspicious she hasn't gotten pregnant," the source dishes. "She wants to enjoy being a wife for a while."
"She's not like her siblings. She doesn't feel any pressure to get pregnant."
The source adds that the 22-year-old Jessa is currently on birth control, but would never tell her parents because (You may want to sit down for this.)
Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are really into procreation.
We know. Knock us over with a feather on that one.
"She would never tell her parents that she's on birth control because she doesn't want to disappoint them," says the insider.
"She's making her own rules right now. It's her life and she and Ben will have a child when they decide the time is right."
Looks like we've got a rebel on our hands. And all this time we thought Jana Duggar would be the one to break away.
