What appeared to be a rare piece of positive news for the ailing Bobbi Kristina Brown just 24 hours ago has turned frightening and, possibly, fatal.
Brown, who had been in a medically-induced coma since passing out in her home's bathtub on January 31, was taken out of the coma by doctors yesterday.
However, once “she was taken off the drugs," that kept her in that stable state, "she began having violent seizures," a family insider tells People, sadly adding:
"She is being put back into a coma."
Bobbi Kristina has been on life support since the day of the unexplained incident, which has sparked a police investigation (with Nick Gordon is the focal point).
The 21-year-old was able to be removed from her coma because she isn't brain dead, but this was not done because she had shown terrific progress.
Rather, the decision was made to attempt this in order for Emory University Hospital physicians to get an idea of what her body can handle on its own.
It turns out she couldn't handle much.
"This is a horrible setback," the source added. "Everyone was hopeful that this was the sign that she'd turned the corner. We were so optimistic..."
"I don't care what religion you are, or if you have no religion at all. Send your thoughts, your prayers, your well-wishes. Send everything you've got. Please."
"Everyone needs to pray for Krissi."
There remains no official reason for why Bobbi feel unconscious nearly a month ago, though a Georgia police officer recently said the 21-year old was always high.
She has battled a noted history of substance abuse, especially since her famous mother, Whitney Houston, passed away in eerily similar circumstances.
The iconic singer drowned to death in a Beverly Hills hotel bathtub in February 2012, almost exactly three years before Bobbi Kristina nearly drowned.
Another report alleges Bobbi Kristina was on heroin, among other drugs, the day she fell unconscious, though no one in any official capacity has verified this account.
It's a very sad situation all around and, tragically, it appears as if it may soon come to an end. Her father, Bobby Brown, is still holding out hope for a miracle, however.
