Newlyweds Jessa and Ben Seewald are ready to start a family ... but that doesn't mean the Duggar family member is pregnant, according to a new report.
It's no surprise that the couple wants to have a lot of kids, but Jessa has also shared that she and her husband want to become parents by adoption.
In turn, she and Ben Seewald could become parents sooner rather than later, although they seem to be fine working it from the biological standpoint, too.
Jessa Duggar said in a recent interview that she and Ben had both prayed a lot when talking about the right path to build their family. The result?
On adoption, she said that it is something "on their hearts."
Jessa's statement seems to suggest that perhaps an opportunity has come up to adopt a child, or maybe they are ready to move forward in pursuit of it.
Asked further about the subject of raising a family, Jessa Duggar added that "we want to have some of our own, but we also really want to adopt."
Since Jessa and Ben discussed the idea of adoption before even getting married, it seems clear that this isn't something they throw around casually.
This would certainly be forging a new path for the Seewalds.
Even though the Duggar family is massive, it's all been Jim Bob and Michelle, and Josh and Anna, and now Jill and Derick. Now adopted children.
Jessa and Ben seem to be looking to change that. Kudos.
