Winter isn't all that's coming, Game of Thrones fans.
The HBO epic itself is also coming... to an IMAX location near you!
The network has confirmed that the final two episodes of Game of Thrones Season 4 will be shown in 150 theaters nationwide between the dates of January 23 and January 29.
Those in attendance will also be treated to an extended trailer for Game of Thrones Season 5, which will premiere some time in late March or early April.
"The cinematic brilliance and grand scope of the series is perfect for the IMAX format,” Pamela Levine, chief marketing officer at HBO, said via a statement.
"We are always looking to provide fans with new and exciting ways to experience the show and viewing two key episodes, along with the new trailer, on such an impressive platform makes for a great event."
It's safe to assume the big screen experience will be rated R for violence, nudity and dragons.
Adds IMAX CEO Richard L. Gelfond:
“IMAX always seeks innovative ways to provide moviegoers a unique and differentiated experience and today’s partnership with HBO and ‘Game of Thrones’ achieves just that. This deal also furthers our efforts to offer exhibitors the opportunity to participate in alternative forms of content in a new and exciting way."
