As if the selfie hadn't jumped the shark already, there is now a product that better enables one to take selfie's of one's butt, and it is called a Belfie.
Yes, this is a thing that exists ... and the Internet-breaking queen of narcissism, vanity and butt selfies herself, Kim Kardashian, coined the name.
It's unclear if Kim gets a royalty on every one of these sold, but if not, she should:
The Belfie, a selfie stick for your butt, was inspired by Kim Kardashian, who brilliantly combined "butt" and "selfie" while posing in the mirror for such a thing.
Mrs. West is nothing if not entrepreneurial and business-minded.
Cheryl Cole, Lady Gaga, Kelly Brook and other celebrities with enviable a$$ets soon hopped on the bandwagon with Instagram "belfies" of their own.
Of course, getting your butt to look good in a selfie is not easy.
“She took so many pictures and deleted them before she and Kanye decided on the one she posted,” says a source close to selfie queen Kim.
The creators of selfie-centric social network site On (dot) com thus invented the Belfie to finally, “make it easy to take pics of your bum in any angle.”
On's CTO Kevin Deegan told Business Insider of the innovation:
“We’ve noticed a huge spike in users taking butt selfies in recent months so the natural next step was for us to develop a device to assist users in taking one.”
A regular selfie stick - yes, that already existed - will cost you about $15. This one, specially-crafted for badonkadonk shots, retails for $79.99.
That's straight ridick. But it’s also sold out, so what do we know?
