The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed the killing of Stephanie Moseley, offering up new details about the tragic incident from yesterday morning in an official statement.
As previously documented, the dancer/actress (who has appeared on Hit the Floor and Hellcats, among other programs) was shot to death inside her apartment yesterday.
And authorities have now verified that the man who pulled the trigger was Moseley's husband, Earl Hayes.
"When officers arrived at the apartment complex they heard additional shots being fired," reads a statement released by the LAPD today. "LAPD’s SWAT officers responded to the location and discovered two victims inside the apartment suffering from gunshot wounds.
"The initial investigation revealed that 34-year-old Earl Warren Hayes shot his wife, 30-year-old Stephanie Elyse Moseley to death and then took his own life.
"The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced both Mr. Hayes and Ms. Moseley dead at the scene."
Along with the aforementioned shows, Moseley has appeared in films such as 2012's Mirror Mirror and 2011's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.
She also worked as a backup dancer to Usher, Britney Spears and Chris Brown at various times.
Insiders tell TMZ that Moseley and Hayes separated in 2010 because the former had an affair with Trey Songz.
The couple eventually got back together, but the same insiders say Hayes never got over his wife's alleged infidelity. He reminded her about it often and was actually having a FaceTime discussion with good friend Floyd Mayweather immediately prior to yesterday's incident.
An unnamed source says Hayes told Mayweather he was going to kill Moseley.
The boxer tried to convince him otherwise, but was unable to do so. Mayweather ended up witnessing the entire horrific murder-suicide over the phone.
In response to the tragedy, Brown posted a photo of Moseley on Facebook and wrote the following message:
"RIP baby girl. Danced with me on tour and was always the coolest person. My prayers go out to you and HAZE family."
