It's been almost a year since Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odom, and the proceedings are still ongoing.
It's unclear why Khloe and Lamar are dragging their feet, but if they don't hurry up and finalize their split soon, the whole thing will be thrown out of court, forcing them to start over at square one.
Radar Online has obtained court documents indicating that Khloe was informed back on October 9 that her case is headed for automatic dismissal due to the amount of time that's passed since she first filed.
Perhaps it's for that reason that Lamar went missing last month, reportedly after receiving word that Khloe was hoping to finalize their divorce.
Of course, it's not just Odom who's dragging the process out. Rumors that Khloe isn't over Lamar have been circulating for months, and the reality star's own sisters have questioned her motives for postponing court dates.
A source close to the case says Khloe is capable of proceeding without Lamar's consent, but she has declined to do so:
"Khloe was told be her attorney that she could file a motion to have the divorce granted, even though Lamar hasn't formally responded," says the insider. "However, Khloe has held off taking that important step."
One person who is reportedly very concerned with Khloe's unwillingness to finalize her divorce is French Montana. French and Khloe have been dating for on and off for several months and sources say he refuses to fully commit to Khloe until she's divorced.
