Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald's alleged wedding day sex romp continues to be the topic of much debate, and a blogger who was present stands by the story.
Not only is she standing by her account of what went on, in fact, but the controversial behavior itself, claiming it was between Jessa Duggar, Ben and ... God.
The rumor that Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald had sex at their wedding reception November 1 originated on a Christian fundamentalist blog last week.
It left Duggar fans reeling, for obvious reasons.
Some critics declared that the whole story was a hoax, but the blogger, a woman named Ashleigh, says the story was not satire, or meant to be critical.
Speaking out about the uproar she and her commenters have created, she says she had “no intention” of causing any drama by reporting on the event.
That doesn't mean it didn't happen, though.
Ashleigh's friend Mary B. claims Jessa and Ben consummated their marriage in a private church room immediately following the ceremony a week ago Saturday.
According to her account, Jessa's younger sister and maid of honor Jinger Duggar opened the door and accidently walked in on the newlyweds' sexy tryst.
To hear Ashleigh respond to the naysayers:
- It totes happened, but ...
- What's the big deal?!
“What Mary B. and others have said I will not confirm or deny because it is not my business what married couples do,” Ashleigh wrote on her site in response.
"Sex was made by God for Man and Wife… so what could possibly be more glorifying to Him than to partake in what the Lord has made for you in His house?”
“Even if it IS in God’s Holy house," she adds. "Personally, I feel it’s not inappropriate as long as no one but the Lord sees you, so please lock the door."
“I hope you all have a wonderful life, and instead of trash talking this young couple, you look inside you and seek The Lord,” she wrote of her critics.
The bottom line here, according to this blogger?
Jessa Duggar is a married woman, and a passionate person who just subsisted on side hugs and hand holding for a courtship that lasted more than a year.
Once those vows are exchanged, she's entitled to spend as much time with her toes pointed at the ceiling as she likes ... just lock the door next time please.
Rookies. Gotta learn the hard way sometimes.
Ashleigh also stands by her claim that patriarch Jim Bob Duggar asked producers to alter certain story lines on the upcoming wedding episode of their TLC series.
Jessa and Ben now-famously refused to kiss publicly at the altar, instead saving that (and reportedly much, MUCH more) for only themselves in private.
If you watch 19 Kids And Counting online, you'll see an edited version in which it appears Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were actually in on this, she says.
