Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald got married last weekend, meaning that they're finally allowed to kiss and that other stuff people in romantic relationships do.
Their engagement just aired on TLC last night, though, and if you watch 19 Kids & Counting online closely you might catch something very interesting ...
With the help of her sisters Jana and Jinger Duggar, he put together a charming, sweet, thoughtful proposal - not to mention elaborate and expensive.
Private planes? Traveling all over creation? That took effort. Hopefully TLC pitched in with some of it (or all of it), but either way, Jessa was in tears.
In a good way. By the time the 21-year-old finally made it to Ben's side, she undoubtedly knew what was coming and was virtually exploding with happiness.
When he proposed and she accepted? Jessa momentarily had a huge lapse in the pair's typically rigorous rules, hugging Ben .... FULL FRONTAL style!
The couple, who wouldn't even kiss at the altar after they were married because they wanted to share that moment in private, it was pretty surprising.
And yet not. They are only human, after all.
Just one day prior, they accidentally held hands for the first time - albeit in prayer - even though that is banned by the family before a couple is engaged.
We know that the Duggar family dating rules are stringent, but there's only so much you can do after a guy puts that sort of thing together for you.
Also, they stopped at that single non-side-hug.
They apparently bounced back to reality pretty fast, too. The two are clearly in love and so committed to each other's values, pretty much in lockstep.
Fans may also recall that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard also broke courtship rules when he returned to the U.S. from Nepal and they full-body hugged too.
Things seem to have worked out for them too.
Hopefully their parents didn't give them a hard time about these on-camera slip-ups, because these were noteworthy moments in their lives in both cases.
Emotions tend to run high. Sometimes a hug on the chest is just warranted, no matter what sinful behavior that might lead to if you do it on a regular basis.
