The Shield actor Michael Jace has pleaded not guilty to murder in the shooting death of his wife, April. He entered the plea in court earlier Tuesday.
The 48-year-old Jace was arrested May 19 after he shockingly called 911 to report that he had shot and killed his wife in their Los Angeles home.
Their two young children, both sons, were home at the time.
April Jace, a well-liked financial aid employee at Biola University, had walked in the door just 15 minutes prior after picking up the boys from baseball practice.
Authorities haven't discussed his alleged motive in public, but previous reports have indicated that couple had been fighting over money problems.
Michael also reportedly had a history of domestic violence.
Jace faces 50 years to life in state prison if convicted. It has been reported that he's confessed to the crime; if so, his plea today may be a formality.
He's currently being held on $2 million bail.
