Demi Lovato discovered a family secret last summer that she shared today in an interview with WBLI Radio:
She has another sibling!
“I have an older sister that I’ve never known my whole life,” Lovato said. “She’s in her 30s. She’s my half-sister. I talked to her for the very first time in my life around when I turned 20.”
Demi said she asked the unnamed woman why she took so long to contact the star and the surprising family member offered up a refreshing response:
“She said ‘Well, because I never wanted you to think that I wanted anything from you. So I’ve just been waiting to see if you wanted a relationship.'”
The new sibling joins Demi and two other sisters in the family: 25-year-old Dallas and 11-year-old Madison De La Garza, who actually played a role on ABC’s Desperate Housewives.
