A woman died on a plane from Brazil en route to Dallas this morning, reports indicate.
She was pronounced dead on the plane; the AA flight was then diverted to Houston.
Flight 962 from Sao Paulo to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport landed instead at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston after 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
A medical emergency was reported inside the Boeing 777 aircraft.
After the 25-year-old woman's body was taken to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to be examined, the flight continued from Houston to Dallas.
More than 200 passengers and a 14-person crew were aboard the flight when the woman died. A medical examiner will determine what caused the death.
A spokesman said there were no visible signs of trauma.
