World, meet girl.

Disney Channel’s spinoff of Boy Meets World has cast the role of Cory and Topanga’s daughter. Rowan Blanchard, 11, has landed the role of Riley!

The pilot, which is told from Riley Matthews’ point-of-view, was just officially picked up by the Disney Channel, is set to begin shooting in February.

Blanchard won the part after a national search, EW reports. Her previous credits include The Back-up Plan and Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D.

“As soon as Rowan walked in, I was reminded of why Ben Savage was loved as Cory Matthews,” said Michael Jacobs, Girl Meets World executive producer.

He adds that as Riley, “Rowan is real and accessible and I am hopeful this girl is about to meet a world that will love growing up with her as well.”

Danielle Fishel and Ben Savage will reprise their roles as her parents, who millions watched for years on ABC. The couple is now in their early 30s.

While still in development, Fishel recently promised that Girl Meets World will definitely please fans of Boy Meets World, which ran from 1993-2000:

“If we’re going to bring it back, we want to bring it back with the same heart and integrity and innocence … we’re going to make sure we don’t let anybody down.”
