Jennifer Lopez has been engaged four times and married three times. She’s yet to make a relationship truly stick. But, speaking out for the first time since her divorce from Marc Anthony, the singer/actress says she remains an “eternal optimist.”
“I believe in love,” J. Lo says in the latest issue of Vanity Fair.
What led to the split? Did Anthony nail some stewardess? Lopez won’t get into details, but does admit it took her awhile to have the kind of self-confidence required to make such a life change.
“Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself… if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me.”
“I am positive, determined to move forward with my life, bring up my babies, and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer, and person. I now look forward to new challenges. I feel strong.”
