A frantic 911 call made by Marni Phillips, the wife of ESPN analyst and former New York Mets GM Steve Phillips, when she discovered his 22-year-old ex-mistress in their driveway has been uncovered, and it's upsetting, to say the least.
Much as the details of Steve's affair with Brooke Hundley and her subsequent craziness may seem funny, Marni Phillips' terrified reaction is anything but.
Marni returned to her Wilton, Conn., home and discovered Brooke Hundley, an ESPN production assistant who worked with Steve, dropping off a letter.
In the letter, Hundley confessed to having an affair with Steve. Hmm. Confessed actually isn't the right word. Let's go with "arrogantly bragged about."
In the 911 call, Marni Phillips pleads "I have a crazy woman who is involved with my husband and she's come to my house to harm me and my children."
Marni said that Brooke freaked out when she saw her, "got in her car, put it in reverse and smashed the rear end of her vehicle into the stone column."
She also said Brooke Hundley had been harassing her - although she didn't know her name at the time, only that she was involved with her husband.
Marni has subsequently sued for divorce from Steve Phillips.
