Can Nick Jonas go from pop superstar to President of the United States?

Yes he can!

The 16-year old took to the national stage yesterday when he appeared on CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer. He told White House Correspondent Suzanne Malveaux that she may be covering him one day.

“I’ve always said that I would like to be president. It’s kind of my whole thing,” Nick said, providing the year in which he may run: “Maybe 2040.”

Jonas actually had a legitimate reason for speaking out on the show: the cause of juvenile diabetes.

“I’m here to basically raise awareness and encourage people to continue to do what they can to raise awareness as well in their own circle and on a broader scale,” he said. “Obviously, we’ve made some advances in technology to better manage our diabetes, but we’re hoping for a cure one day, and that’s what the main goal is.”

Way to go, Nick! It’s nice to see that the public make-out session between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth is not distracting you from what’s important. She sucks anyway.
