Actress Jessica Lange was injured in a fall in her family cabin near her hometown of Cloquet, Minnesota yesterday.
Apparently, a loose handrail gave way as Lange was coming down the stairs, which caused her to fall. Lange suffered a broken collar bone, bruised ribs, and a cut on her forehead that required stitches. She is expected to be released from the hospital fairly soon.
Lange has appeared in several films, including Crimes of the Heart, Tootsie, Cape Fear, Blue Sky, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Big Fish. She has won several awards, including four Gold Globes and two Academy Awards.
