Sharon Stone has just lost custody of her eldest son, Roan Joseph Bronstein. Stone and her former husband, Phil Bronstein, adopted Roan during their marriage, but now that the couple is divorced, Bronstein petitioned the court for sole custody.
Until now, the couple has had shared custody, which also meant a lot of traveling for their eight-year-old son. Stone was told it was up to her to prove she should still have custody, but apparently, she failed to do just that.
A judge ruled in favor of sole custody for Phil Bronstein, who is the executive editor of the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper. Roan will now live with his father full time in San Francisco.
Stone and Bronstein divorced in 2004. Stone has since adopted two additional sons, Laird and Quinn.
Sharon Stone is an American actress, perhaps best known for her role in the film, Basic Instinct. Stone also won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a drama series for her guest appearance on The Practice.
