My husband is Jamaican and he thought it was hilarious. Also...there are white Jamaicans...and Asian and Middl Eastern.

It acknowledges a race (West Indian) - and at the same time celebrates an endearing trait of Jamaican culture (infectious optimism) - so why is it "racist" ? . . . and I personally find a Jamaican accent melodious - could listen to someone speak in it all day.

What bothers me about this ad is just that nerdy guys who says "You guys are 3 minutes late..". I'd be like "SO WHAT!"..

Not racist. It's about a state of mind and positive attitude and that driving that particular car helps you have it. Remember Bobby McFerren? The great American musician sang 'Don't worry , Be Happy' in a Jamaican accent and style, & probably is the inspiration for the commercial.
