The fallout from Meri Brown’s "catfish" scandal threw Sisters Wives fans for a loop, but no more than her own family.

Last season, Brown talked about what led her to seek an online companion, who turned out to be a woman posing as man.

"Usually when people go through empty nest it’s a couple doing it together," Brown explained.

"But in a plural situation that’s not the case."

Today, People revealed a clip from the upcoming season (premiering May 8th on TLC), which hinted that things are not great in the polygamous Brown household.

"My mom and I aren’t on super-great terms right now," Meri and Kody’s daughter, Mariah admitted, referring to the scandal.

Footage of Meri meeting up with Mariah showed mom awkwardly trying to feel her daughter out with "deep questions," according to Mariah.

"I can’t handle it," she said later.

Finally, TLC briefly teased a therapy session involving Meri, Kody, Janelle, Christine and Robyn.  The sound bites are hard to put into context (Christine mentions "From an outside perspective, I see the manipulation all over it," which could either refer to the catfish scandal or Kody’s treatment of Meri).

Kody admitted that he and Meri "have struggled for a very long time," and Meri got teary-eyed while confronting her (ex) husband.

"There were times when I was angry at you, Kody," she said

"I’m not gonna lie, I was angry at you."
