She managed to win her match today at Wimbledon in just 48 minutes, beating Russian’s Elena Vesnina 6-2, 6-0 to advance to the finals.

No one really cared, though, because Serena Williams got to meet the Duchess of Cambridge.

Not only that, she recorded their meeting.  And it was glorious.

"Ok, so I’m in the ‘in’ crowd now" as she took a video of Catherine.

After insisting that Prince Edward’s wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex join them, Williams said "I’m with royalty."

It was a bold move on Williams’ part, since it’s frowned upon to ask members of the royal family for a photo or autograph.

Royals are considered "above celebrity," and therefore don’t play in to the whole fame game that comes with celeb status.

Catherine, however, was a good sport and smiled for the camera.

Her Royal Highness attended today’s semi-finals solo, since the Duke of Cambridge had to attend the annual Order of the Thistle service in Scotland.

Catherine re-wore a yellow and white Roksanda Ilincic dress, which she first sported in Sydney, Australia in April 2014.  She sat in the front row of the Royal Box, in front of Dame Maggie Smith and Bee Gees singer Barry Gibb.

Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner was also in the Royal Box.

Catherine paired the dress with her LK Bennett "Fern" heels and SORU drop earrings.

The Duchess of Cambridge is a huge tennis fan, and has been playing the sport for most of her life.

Back in January, there was a rumor that the Queen was going to appoint Catherine as President of the All England club, a role held by Her Majesty’s cousin, the Duke of Kent for 40 years.

In May, the Daily Mail speculated that Catherine will assume the role in 2017, which involves handing out prizes to winners.

Expect to see William join Catherine on Sunday for the Men’s finals.
