I had to defend those getitng criticized for being upset the name will now be popular. As someone with the #1 girls name of my generation it is a pain. To be one of 5 (or more) in every class and later workplacw, you never get to be just FirstName it is First Name Last Initial, Last Name, or, even worse, a nickname/variation you often don't like. There ar tons of mix ups in paperwork and you are constantly turning to your name (along with half a dozen others) only to find that it was someone else being called. I have even been called back at thedoctor to realize they called back the wrongFirst Name Last initial because 2 of us had an appt. At the same time. If you grew up like this and picked a name specifically because it wasn't popular, I think you have a right to be disappoined. We have had our girl name picked since before my first pregnancy 4 years ago. Wouldn't you know a celeb who delivered the same month as me chose the same name! Guh. I had a boy so we saved our girl name. We went with it anyhow, although my husband changed the spelling to the less popular (but still known) spelling because he can't stand that star.I like that it's an actual name, don't love it or hate it and am glad she had a healthy baby.
I can't believe I watched this. I believe I've become BLIND
