As you probably know, identity theft isn’t just a crappy Melissa McCarthy comedy.

And it doesn’t just happen to celebrities and people who deserve it, like Chris Brown.

Regular people have their identities stolen by hackers and con men on a daily basis, and usually, the closest thing they get to satisfaction is their account being restored by a sympathetic bank teller.

But reporter Steve Noviello of Fox 4 in Dallas-Fort Worth wanted more than that.

When Noviello learned that a woman named Farrah Parks had used his credit card number to check into a local hotel, he took action and hunted her down with the help of police.

Then, once she was busted, he went to the hotel to confront her himself.

Sadly, Noviello didn’t deliver his own brand of Texas justice, but he did get an apology out of Parks, which, sadly, is more than most victims get.
