Upon winning the Teen Choice Award for choice TV actress: sci-fi/fantasy on Sunday night, Nina Dobrev got goofy.
She donned a pair of fake fangs for the crowd, only to then turn serious upon saying she "doesn’t need these anymore."
The beautiful star then got emotional in thanking the fans who followed her for six years as Elena (and Katherine… and others) on The Vampire Diaries, giving them a life lesson about how "change" can be scary, but also exciting.
"These were six incredible years that I had the pleasure of sharing with all of you guys," Dobrev said. "I wouldn’t be here without you, and I wouldn’t be here without Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson. They changed my life with this role…
"So thank you guys, each and every single one of you."
Dobrev left The Vampire Diaries this spring, but she’s just doing just fine overall.
