not my thing to say the least, but if you like this style of music, I don't see what's wrong with it. It's no less boring than most of the performances you see on SNL these days. Keep in mind that in the studio, the performer has as many takes as they need to get the performance right. Live you get one.
I read everyone's bad review of lana at the SNL thingy- and I just watched it then, and didn't think it was that bad. No, it didn't sound as perfect as her cd or whatever but that is what a live performance is supposed to be about...
The only problem with this performance is her styling. If she didn't look so glamorous, and had a mic stand, maybe sitting on a stool, it would have been great.

This is Lana del Rey...her videos are pretty similar...this is her style...her "critics" proly did not check her til this performance...lames
