The Confederate Flag was removed from the South Carolina Statehouse on Friday morning, July 10.

But it doesn’t sound like this symbol of slavery will be removed from Kid Rock’s life any time soon.

With debate raging nationwide over meaning behind this item, the Detroit chapter of Al Sharpton’s National Action Network are protesting Kid Rock’s use of the Confederate flag.

Despite Kid Rock’s close ties to Detroit and all he’s done to help that city, National Action Network political director Sam Riddle has a question for the musician:

“How in the hell can Kid Rock represent Detroit and wave that flag just generating millions and millions in ticket sales – a flag that represents genocide to most of Detroit?"

Megyn Kelly discusses the topic in the video above, which concludes with the Fox News anchor reading a statement from Kid Rock himself. It says:

“Please tell the people who are protesting to kiss my ass.”

Well… okay then!
