That is true, but what I'm really fouecsd on are the ideas SR brought up in her commentary:-Pressuring a man to marriage. Does that work?-The idea that if you've given him the milk for free (ala given up your power)can you still expect him to want to shop for the ring (buy the cow)?-The idea that marriages predicated by a big elaborate wedding don't last. That's something to chew on. Is it all just for show and people are really more in love with the wedding than they are with each other. I would like to see statistics on that as mentioned.
