At the 67th annual Emmy Awards Sunday night, Jon Hamm finally won the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series prize for his iconic role as Don Draper on Mad Men, which recently concluded its seventh and final season.

It’s a major career milestone for Hamm, who’s been nominated an astonishing 16 times over the years, but never took home the gold until last night.

Unfortunately, while the boozy, angst-ridden ad man that Hamm so memorably portrayed found a modicum of peace in the series finale, Hamm personal struggles have made tabloid headlines in recent months.

Back in March, Hamm entered rehab for alcohol addiction.

Shortly thereafter, Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt broke up after 18 years together.

Hamm thanked Westfeldt during his acceptance speech, but many he feel that he took a subtle dig at his ex by mentioning directly after his dog, Cora.

Obviously, it’s possible that that was just the order in which the names popped into his head, and Hamm didn’t intend to throw any shade, but then again – there’s no way the man lived in Don Draper’s skin for the better part of a decade without mastering the art of the passive-aggressive burn.
