A pair of X-Men would like to join Taylor Swift’s witches coven.
Earlier this week, Ian McKellen gave a dramatic reading of Swift’s "Bad Blood" in a Yahoo! video; you can view this amazing footage above.
Not to be shown up by his dear friend, Patrick Stewart then recited Taylor’s scorned love anthem "Blank Space" for NPR, proceeding to Tweet shortly afterward:
"So @IanMcKellen recited ‘Bad Blood’ and I did ‘Blank Space’ on @NPRAskMeAnother. May we join the squad, @taylorswift13?"
Yes, that actually happened.
Swift, of course, was made aware of these videos, watched them and then replied to Stewart’s request:
"Thanks for reciting my lyrics, @IanMcKellen and @SirPatStew! You’ve made my day. You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals."
This is amazing all around. We’re so happy.
