The line of disrespect for a parent, clearly has been crossed when it comes to this issue. Like it or not, the way this parent has decided to destroy his daughter's laptop, was within his rights, the rights of a father. Comments about "Cigarettes and guns are not teaching good morals", well I believe as parents, were dropping the ball and missing the big picture here. We as parents, have been listening to the so called experts for years, telling us that they know how we sould parent. Now look where we are now, our kid's have little to no respect for there parents, for there familys, for anything but themselves. Kid's of today can't even talk to each other without texting or posting on facebook. Tearing each other down, living a life without face to face conversation, inesscents living a false live and not even knowing it, and not having the ability to change becouse the so called the experts of today have taken parenting out of the equation.

Facebook,it's a gift and not a right. Parent's of today have forgotten this. Kids of today believe that it's within their rights to use facebook to voice their options, no matter what they want to say. Using the excuse it's their rights under the freedom of speech acts. There is a freedom of speech act in the USA. What they don't realise, is that the rights they are speaking of, are a gift. A gift that was fought for by our forefathers, and still to this day, it's being fought for, by the taxpayers of this great country. Kid's of today have forgot that as parents it's up to us as parents to give you, our childen the rights that we feel that you have earned, and take away those rights, when we as parents feel our childen have crossed the line.

Heck yes:) You go dad! I don't see how anyone could think this is wrong. You were teaching her a lesson. You already warned her once that you were gonna put a bullet in it the next time it happened and that's what you did. You were consistent with your word and I applaud you for that. I can't tolerate kids who act out like that and think they're better than the rest. It's just unnecessary an unacceptable.

Though i can understand where this anger is coming from this was a very irresponsible and immature way to handle this matter. If he wanted to teach her a lesson there were better ways to do so. For one the computer could have been donated to someone less fortunate that would appreciate it since this was because she did not appreciate it. This is not teaching children to be responsible. It teached knee-jerk and possible violent reactions to stressful situations.

It's awesome to see a parent today teach some tough love. My hat off to u sir. As her dad said. She was warned.

I think that shooting a computer is not smart at all, we tell our kids not to use violents but then we do how crazy is that. This world is just backwards completely!
