   I've read the novel and Georges was a vapid, shallow, spineless, idiotic, social-climbing rascal. Guy de Maupassant clearly didn't like him one bit. But he did bumble through with a small amount of cunning, hedonism, and luck. I'm hoping he's portrayed the way he's written because I like Robert Pattinson and I don't like Georges Du Roy. I'm not sure how it will be to watch him in a role that isn't so likable but I'm sure he can pull it off. I'm really looking forward to this movie. It's like Dangerous Liaisons meets Madame Bovary.

   bel ami will define robert pattinson as an actor- only 23 when this was made. it will be a smash at the box office. what a cast of actors.what a famous novel-he rob pattinson is a very seductive man,full of charm, wit, intellect, and is also an accomplshed muscian. wish the directors, producers and cast of bel ami all the success with this film.
