Stars graced the Nokia Theatre with their presence on Sunday for the 2014 BET Awards.

Among the notable attendees were new mama Kerry Washington and self-proclaimed muse of God, Lil Mama.

And Paris Hilton was there because she's apparently a professional red carpet walker. (Oh, right. DJ Paris Hilton...silly me for forgetting...)

Red carpet fashions ranged from glam to "what were they thinking?," with a Kendall Jenner-esque dress or two in the mix.

Zendaya Coleman has dropped out of a Lifetime movie based on the life of Aaliyah.

The young actress had received a great deal of flak from critics after agreeing to star in the biopic, with many on Twitter blasting Zendaya for her lack of resemblance to the late singer.

Aaliyah died in a 2001 plane crash.

"Aaliyah has always been a source of inspiration to Zendaya," the former Dancing with the Stars contestant's official account tweeted. "She was honored to portray her and pay tribute to her. If she is going to do it, she wants to do it right."

Zendaya Coleman has just landed the role of a lifetime on Lifetime.

The former Disney Channel star and Dancing with the Stars competitor has been cast in a television movie based on the life of Aaliyah, the R&B artist who died in a plane crash at the age of 22.

Zendaya will record four songs for the film, which will be based on the book “Aaliyah: More Than a Woman” and air some time this fall.

But Coleman's excitement for the part has been tempered a bit by the major backlash on Twitter over her casting.

With four spots in the Dancing With the Stars finals on the line this week, the question was whether Jacoby Jones and Ingo Rademacher would get the fourth.

Based on last night, it looks like the former has the clear edge.

The NFL star rose to the occasion, tying for the lead with Aly Raisman and earning season highs with 30 and 29 points in his two routines Monday.

Of the 10 total routines on Monday, four received perfect 30s.

Kellie Pickler and Zendaya Coleman were also strong, while soap opera star Ingo, despite his pair of respectable efforts, ended up at the bottom.

Once again, Kellie Pickler, Aly Raisman and Zendaya were atop the leaderboard, with Kellie and Zendaya earning 10s for their respective routines.

Kellie and Derek Hough's quickstep to "Part-Time Lover" was "the best dance I've seen on season 16," the judges concurred, and gave them 29.

Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy's cha cha to "Do I Do" was "full of snap, crackle and pop," according to Len, and earned the partners 29 points.

Is it easier to do well on Dancing with the Stars if you're younger?

Some competitors are asking that question after Disney star Zendaya Coleman, 16, ruffled some feathers Monday by saying age is "just a number."

"Using age is almost an excuse," Coleman said after dancing into first place. "Age doesn't mean anything. Age doesn't mean I can't work as hard."

"Age doesn't mean I can't do as well as everyone else out there."

On the contrary, some feel it could give her an unfair edge.
