Exciting, unconfirmed Zanessa news out of the tabloid world this morning:

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron may soon become roommates!

A source told the print edition of In Touch Weekly that things keep getting better between this pair, as Hudgens wants to spend as much time with her man as possible.

  • Zanessa Sighted

“When Vanessa was apart from Zac while filming her upcoming movies Beastly and Sucker Punch, she realized how much she missed him and loved being around him all the time," the insider said. "When she got back to LA, she told him she wanted them to move in together."

Referring to the adorable pair as “as young, but very serious about each other," the friend adds that house hunting may soon commence.

Last week, in a similar move, Liam Hemsworth reportedly moved in with Miley Cyrus (and her parents). We'd like to send both these couples best wishes. May you never fight about dirty dishes in the sink!

It was her party, and Vanessa Hudgens could have cried if she wanted to... but, instead, she chose to get really dressed up.

The actress celebrated her 21st birthday last night by dining at EAST Restaurant and Bar in North Hollywood with attractive boyfriend Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale and others.

While Efron donned casual attire for the affair, Hudgens sent a message: I'm all grown up now! Look at her outfit:

Of course, a short skirt and fancy hairstyle isn't the only sign that Hudgens has moved on from High School Musical.

Her next starring role is in Sucker Punch, a movie directed by Zack Snyder, best known for the bloody and violent 300, among other R-rated flicks.

Troy Bolton who?!?

While Zac Efron is thankful for his star-making role in the High School Musical franchise, he's also excited to expand his movie resume and enter the realm of true Hollywood A-lister.

The young stud takes a step in that direction with Me and Orson Welles, a drama that opens next month. He spoke to Parade about the film - and his hair, of course - in a new interview. Excepts from it are below...

On choosing the movie: "I had never done anything like this before... I thought, 'Maybe this time I've bitten off more than I can chew because I'm not singing and dancing. It's all about acting.' I knew people wouldn't see it as a predictable next move in my career, but I'd like to be known for more than predictability."

On his character: "I really connected with Rick - the way he kind of lucked into an opportunity to act, and thanks to Orson Welles, doors were opening for him. It kind of resembled my life experience growing up in the theater. In school, my whole life was focused on theater, especially musicals, which were a creative outlet. I had no clue that I'd end up in Hollywood. I'm still on the craziest ride of my life."

On his hobbies: "I like very normal things, like hiking and camping. When it comes to sports I go skiing, surf boarding, snowboarding, and skateboarding. I guess at this point a perfect day for me is probably just relaxing and hanging out with friends. It's not always easy to be left alone, but I try not to think about it. You can't let fear control you."

On his hair: "It's pretty low maintenance, so it's appealing for lazy individuals like me. You don't have to do anything really, it just goes that way. You don't even have to put gel in it or anything. There is one thing: If you wash it at night and leave it damp, just towel dry it, you wake up in the morning and you're all set."

A successful movie career, Vanessa Hudgens as his girlfriend and hair he doesn't have to style?!?

We hope Zac recognizes just how well he has it.

It's no secret that teenage girls scream and fawn over Zac Efron.

But who knew the young actor could elicit a similar reaction from a senior citizen?

Zac appeared on The View this week, alongside Claire Danes, in order to promote his upcoming movie Me & Orson Welles. You can view its trailer NOW.

But Barbara Walters wanted to talk about Efron's latest honor: People magazine said the 22-year old star had the best chest in Hollywood. Joked Zac:

“It’s an intense competition. I had the petition with 1,000 signatures. It was like door-to-door ‘Will you sign this?’”

Watch the ladies swoon over Efron below:

From a new movie role to a possible career on Broadway, Zac Efron recently sat with Time magazine and answered a series of fan-submitted questions.

As he tries to wrestle the spotlight away from fellow young stud Robert Pattinson, here's what Efron had to say on a number of topics...

On new movie Me and Orson Welles: It's sort of a coming-of-age story for my character, but it's also a week in the life of Orson Welles, this amazing American icon. There are a lot of tough people in Hollywood, but there's no one quite like Orson. He was a genius and should forever be remembered like that.

On choosing roles: I've never really had any strategy at all. I don't really work that way. I know that when I see a role and it speaks to me, I'm drawn to it and I have to go that direction.

On starring on Broadway: I've always wanted to. Finding that right role is a challenge. I wouldn't want to just do it to do it. I would want to make sure it's something special.

On his iconic hair: I've never told anyone this before. This is a hair scoop. Shower before you go to bed, and then sleep on your wet hair. Towel-dry it. In the morning, it's all messed up naturally.

On sex with Vanessa Hudgens: It's awesome!

Okay, we made that last one up.

In a recent interview with E! News, Glee star Cory Monteith relayed a message to reporters:

I'm not Zac Efron!

The Canadian actor has been besieged by comparisons to the Disney star, but he says those have fortunately died down over the last few weeks.

"I'm not Zac Efron! That was the biggest and most welcome change to my life: that I don't have to explain the show and explain how it's not like High School Musical anymore. Now everyone's seen it for at least five minutes," he said.

It's true. We've seen Glee and we adore it.

Still, we're gonna essentially ignore Monteith's words and ask readers to compare these singing studs below. With which would you prefer to perform a naked duet?

Who would you rather take it from?

We're terribly sorry, Zac Efron.

As major fans of yours, we're embarrassed and ashamed that we didn't acknowledge your 22nd birthday yesterday.

Perhaps next time you should rent out a club, or Disneyland, in a self-serving celebration that ensures the entire world is aware of the anniversary of your birth.

Please accept our apologies, though, Zac, along with the photo montage in your honor below - and our plea to readers to send in their birthday wishes to this lovable hunk right now. He deserves them.

Based on his interview in the November issue of Nylon, Zac Efron reminds us a lot of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

Not only don't you see these young, talented stars at clubs; you actually see them shunning the spotlight.

They seem legitimately overwhelmed and confused by fame. Case in point, Efron's quote in the aforementioned magazine:

"You can’t enjoy or celebrate [fame]; it’s not a real thing. The face on the lunchbox and sh-t; you can’t share that with your friends.”

What a refreshing point of view. No wonder Vanessa Hudgens likes this guy.

Efron touched on a couple of other subjects during the interview, as well:

On music in his life: “I was constantly singing [growing up]. I would hear things on the radio and just be able to spit them out instantly, with perfect memorization and tone. It wasn’t like I took pride in it; there was no effort. My parents were like ‘Shut up. Please stop singing. It’s annoying.’”

On whether celebrities should record albums: “If anyone asked themselves that, then we wouldn’t have the crap we are listening to today. If your heart’s not in it, don’t do it. And don’t do it for money. That’s my philosophy.”

For now, followers of this talented young star must settle for a handful of sexy, alluring photos from the actor's 2010 wall calendar.
