Last month, Miley Cyrus made one of the most confusing, ridiculous comments on record, saying there's a double standard at work between the negative reaction she receives on stage and the praise heaped upon Zac Efron in movies.

However, Miley also showed love for the former High School Musical star, telling Billy Bush:

“Zac has a special place in my heart. If it wasn’t creepy and he wasn’t my friend, I would have posters of him on my wall.”

After being shown this interview, Efron had the following to say to Access Hollywood about Cyrus: “I’ve known her since she was a little girl. It’s amazing what she’s done. She’s blossomed into this beautiful lady and taking the world by storm. I’m so proud of her.”

In other words: Zac is the anti-THG when it comes to Miley Cyrus.

As he tours the country in promotion of Charlie St. Cloud, meanwhile, Efron stopped by the Mall of America in Minnesota yesterday.

Total hunk alert!

A pair of talented dancers walked the red carpet of last night's ESPY Awards in Los Angeles, as Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Zac Efron both posed without their significant others.

For Maks, Erin Andrews was busy battling Lindsey Vonn in her own Fashion Face-Off; while Vanessa Hudgens simply didn't accompany Zac to the event.

But that just gave Efron more time to prepare for this match-up against the smooth Dancing with the Stars professional, a man who makes his living competing with other attractive people on a global stage.

Following last year's successful transition away from the High School Musical franchise (with 17 Again), Zac Efron takes another step forward in his adult movie career this summer.

The young heatthrob stars as the title character in Charlie St. Cloud, a drama based on a popular 2004 novel.

In the film, the 22-year-old boyfriend of Vanessa Hudgens portrays a young man who gains special powers after surviving a serious accident: he can communicate with his late brother.

Amanda Crew, Kim Basinger and Ray Liotta also star in the movie, which hits theaters on July 30.

This role may be quite the departure from High School Musical, but don't worry: Efron brings the same hotness as always to the screen.

Angelina Jolie isn't the only celebrity that donates her time and money to important causes.

Last night, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens played a vital role at the inaugural St. Jude Children’s Hospital’s “Estrellas Por La Vida” gala in Los Angeles.

The event was held to raise bring attention to children that are battling cancer and other serious diseases. It honored Daisy Fuentes, Kenny Ortega and Zoe Saldana for their ongoing support and dedication to this goal.

Interview by The New York Times' T Magazine last week, Justin Bieber was asked about his lovely locks. Specifically, the following question was posed:

"Who would win in a hair-off between you and Zac Efron?"

The 16-year old singer tried to remain diplomatic and replied: "I'll let you decide. But all I'll say is that it's no competition."

When asked about fellow young hottie Robert Pattinson, Zac Efron didn't attack the Twilight Saga star or begin a feud that would have the Internet buzzing. Instead, he simply showered Robert with praise.

“He’s absolutely amazing,” Efron told Access Hollywood on the red carpet of the Academy Awards. “I think he’s making great choices. I think he’s handling it all really well, but you know, he’s a superstar. He really deserves all this."

Come on, Zac. You can't insult Rob's new hairstyle at least?

Who looked more handsome at the Oscars?

Count Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens among the latest celebrities to offer their assistance to the victims of this month's earthquake in Haiti.

The cute couple have agreed to help George Lopez raise funds for that nation at Help Haiti, a concert taking place on Thursday, February 4.
