Phil scared the granddaughters with ghost stories while the Duck Commander guys pulled an all nighter to fill a big order on Duck Dynasty Season 5 Episode 4.

The former isn't surprising, as Phil Robertson has been known to raise eyebrows in his everyday speech. Imagine if he gets going and tries to tell spooky tales!

The latter isn't shocking either, except that it entails them working ... mostly. Willie's familiar refrain - “What are y’all doing? Why ain’t y’all working?” - is heard.

Duck Commander was open late this week to fill a major order, but like every week, shenanigans ensued on Duck Dynasty Season 5 Episode 4. Often.

The rousing game of cornhole in the warehouse was just the beginning. It was a stray smoke detector's wail that got into the guys' heads ... sort of literally.

Ridiculous as it would sound for any other show to make a mystery smoke detector a key storyline, if you watch Duck Dynasty online, you know it works.

Jase needs to put an end to it, no matter the cost.

This week's Duck Dynasty was all about Si. Which they all are, really, as that guy is always in the mix and he never shuts up. But this one more than most.

After Si sees the fellas watching a cool video Jep filmed of a guy (himself?) riding a bike with a helmet cam, Si decides he should wear one of those things.

"No one wants to see the world through the eyes of Si Robertson," opines Jase, but clearly the producers who thought this up do, and the viewers too.

After all, how can you go wrong with exchanges like this, which comprised the bulk of Duck Dynasty Season 5 Episode 3 (and most DD installments):

  • "I gotta tell the folks back home what's goin' on." - Si
  • "You realize that's not hooked up to a satellite." - Jep

With Si, you never actually know what is real senility and what is crazy antics or somewhere in the middle. Which makes that narcoleptic redneck great.

Meanwhile, Willie got tickets to the LSU game for Sadie and John Luke, but he's a lot more excited than they are, especially after he gets lost en route.

Boss Hog's "short cut" to Baton Rouge didn't get them to the stadium in time. Or at all. But they did listen to the end of the game on the radio together.

Sometimes, those days make for the best stories. Follow the link to watch Duck Dynasty online to it unfold for yourself along with the best quotes from "Life of Si"!

Liam Payne got himself in a bit of trouble over Twitter yesterday.

With the cast of Duck Dynasty under scrutiny for Phil Robertson's scandalous remarks toward gays last month, the One Direction singer addressed Phil's son, Willie, and wrote:

"Huge love to you/your family huge respect for your business prosperities and the family values you still all behold. big fan."

It didn't take long for a war to then break out online between gay rights advocates and fans of Payne, who rushed to the artist's defense.

Duck Dynasty kicked off Season 5 with back-to-back episodes last night... and nary a word about the Phil Robertson gay controversy.

Nope. It was business as usual for this family, which welcomed back a loved one and which held a few totally insane (read: awesome) conversations.

Viewers met Rebecca (and her five suitcases) early in the opener. Willie and Korie’s exchange-student-turned-daughter, she spent the last two years interning in the fashion industry way out in Los Angeles.

We were taken into her welcome home party, but couldn't focus on anything aside from Si watching Air Bud (because he was sick) and taking a stance more controversial than anything Phil said about homosexual or teen marriage:

Air Bud is superior to Jason Bourne.

The Duck Dynasty clan is happy, happy, happy to get back in the hunting blind and the reality show grind on A&E, according to CEO Willie Robertson.

The Round Mound of Duck Sound appeared on Fox News' New Year's Eve special last night with wife Korie, and touched on the recent controversy:

"We got a new season coming up in a couple weeks, and we're really excited about that. We got a couple episodes filmed... and we're ready to move on."

"A&E and us are fine. We're looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows. It's a new year, so we're ready to break in a new year and start it all over again."

Phil and Miss Kay's third-eldest of four sons joked about how he had been away from the family's Duck Commander business and figured no one was working.

"I think we all learned a lot and we're just ready to move on, and the family's happy, and we're ready to go. I've got to make sure my guys are back there building duck calls."

Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson says his father Phil is "the real deal" whose heart is in the right place, despite the "crude" comments that got him suspended.

Willie and Phil Robertson

Willie expressed that sentiment via Twitter after A&E announced they were lifting Phil’s suspension and that the show would be filmed and air on schedule.

The family patriarch came under fire for controversial anti-gay comments in a GQ interview in which he also made eyebrow-raising quotes about race.

But that’s just Phil being Phil, implied Willie, the second youngest of Robertson's four sons and the CEO of the company he founded, Duck Commander.

“Back to work!!! So proud of all the fans of the show and family,” Willie wrote. “Ole Phil may be a little crude but his heart is good. He's the Real Deal!”

Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson, in a case of ironic timing, covers The Hollywood Reporter's new issue celebrating Rule Breakers of 2013.

The cover came out just hours after the suspension of Phil Robertson, whose controversial comments in GQ have taken over the Internet this week.

Long before that scandal erupted and left many wondering if A&E will cancel Duck Dynasty, THG picked them as the top Rule Breakers of 2013.

Thus, there is no mention of Phil or the anti-gay comments that got him suspended and put the show's future in limbo, making a new issue feel dated.

Willie Robertson, 41, one of Phil's four sons, says he isn't all that surprised that Duck Dynasty has become the No. 1 unscripted show on television.

"It's a combination of faith, the positive and the family aspect, and it's funny," he says.

The 2013 CMA Awards featured plenty of memorable moments, but perhaps none more surprising than the stars of Duck Dynasty twerking on stage.

If you can call it that. We're not really sure what that was ... but it was great!

Hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood kicked off the show with a country-fied version of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines." Their version? "Duck Blind."

Carrie and Brad's rendition was basically about how great country girls are, and helped served as a perfect introduction for the Robertson family cameo.

You haven't lived until you've seen Willie Robertson sort of twerking.

Willie and brother Jase Robertson then presented the first award.

Who's your favorite Robertson, Willie or Jase?

It's the fourth season finale of A&E's Duck Dynasty, which is as sad a fact as there is in the TV world. But at least the finale revolves around Halloween.

Or as Willie put it, the only holiday where it's socially acceptable to "eat candy and scare the crap out of little kids." Truer words have never been spoken.

To that end, the Robertsons turn the warehouse into the Duck Commander Scare House for the kids in the area, then dress up in costume to freak 'em out.

With the Scare House just about open for business, Jessica and Jep show up as Raggedy Ann and Andy, complete with a little dance they practiced.

"I have now found a new low for manhood," Jase says, having already proclaimed, "Grown men getting excited about dressing up, that's just weird."

Phil, while not a big fan of "pagan holidays," finds Halloween somewhat tolerable because cupcakes are involved, and carves pumpkins with the grandkids.

Willie and Korie Robertson of Duck Dynasty, already the parents of five children, hinted at a recent event that they may not be done adding to their brood.

Make way for more Ducklings?

Willie and Korie Robertson

The Robertsons have an adopted son, Will, 11, and a foster daughter, Rebecca, 24, in addition to their three biological kids Sadie, John Luke, and Bella.

But they admitted there’s room for at least one more during an appearance at the Adoption Institute’s Angels in Adoption Gala in Washington D.C.

“Absolutely. There are plenty of kids who need homes,” Willie said when asked if he's considering another adoption. “That’s why we’re all here."

"We have adopted children and we have natural children," the CEO of Duck Commander said, "and to us, there’s no difference between them.”
